Your gift is now twice as valuable until April 12

Between now and April 12, your donation to Animal Ethics will be twice as valuable!

Each dollar you donate to us between now and then will be matched dollar for dollar. Raising for Effective Giving (REG) has pledged to double all donations to Animal Ethics up to $25,000. This was made possible by a donation from poker world champion Martin Jacobson.

Martin Jacobson is a member of REG, a charitable organization of professional poker players interested in giving at least 2% of their gross winnings (or roughly 5-10% of their net income) to causes that effectively make the world a better place – and Animal Ethics is on their list of recommended charities!

For more information about REG’s philosophy and background, see this interview with philosopher and REG co-founder Adriano Mannino and REG’s Wikipedia entry

By donating now, you’ll make us twice as effective in our outreach to educate the public and animal advocates on topics related to animal ethics and animal sentience. In addition to our resource website, we give talks, leaflet, table, and we have a book in the works. Our work will also be included in an upcoming book by Spinney Press in Australia that will be used in secondary schools.

You can donate by credit card, check, or PayPal. If you want to wire the money, or donate by any other method, you can contact us here, by calling 510-984-4297, or at info(a) If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask us.

Some employers have giving programs that will match their employees’ donations. If your employer is one of them, your donation will be quadrupled!

We thank Martin Jacobson for his generosity, as well as Adriano Mannino and Raising for Effective Giving for giving us this chance to do more, and more effective, work for animals. And thanks to you, our supporters, for making it all possible.
