Management and Research Assistant

Animal Ethics is an internationally operating charity dedicated to building a better world for all sentient beings. We are looking for someone fully committed to join us in making a difference. We are focused on raising concern about speciesism and wild animal suffering and what we can do about it. We’re also committed to defending animals exploited by humans and to spreading veganism. Our focus is on changing attitudes rather than behaviors and on collective changes.

We are looking for someone self-motivated and hard-working who should be able to carry out a number of different tasks. Compensation will depend on salary standards in the applicant’s country of residence.

Position responsibilities may include:
  • Researching and preparing papers, reports, and grant proposals.
  • Publishing materials online in different formats and platforms.
  • Managing staff and volunteers.
  • Acting as a liaison with other animal advocacy or effective altruist organizations.
  • Representing Animal Ethics in both formal and informal settings, including social media and as a public spokesperson in conferences or other events.
Candidate requirements:
  • A strong commitment to Animal Ethics’s mission and core philosophy.
  • A pro-active and problem-solving attitude.
  • A positive and constructive disposition.
  • An ability to work under the pressure of new and challenging problems.
  • The capacity to do research on different topics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The capacity to work with and to organize the work of staff and volunteers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability. Occasional travel may be required.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
